The Texas Travel Industry Recovery Grant Program will reopen applications beginning February 1 for one-time grants of up to $20,000 for the recovery of Texas businesses in the tourism, travel, and hospitality industries that were negatively impacted by COVID-19.

In addition to reopening for previous applicants who may now qualify for funding or additional funding, a new category of businesses, including passenger car rental, scenic and sightseeing transportation, and charter bus companies, may apply. The full list of industry categories is available here.

The Texas Travel Industry Recovery Program was established by Senate Bill 8 and signed into law by Governor Abbott following the 87th Legislative Session. The goal of the program is to administer $180 million of funds received from the Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
