In December, the Greater San Antonio Chamber’s Aerospace Committee released the 2022-2023 San Antonio Aerospace Directory in partnership with the San Antonio Manufacturers Association. Chamber staff and Committee members are now responding to feedback from the initial release to add additional companies and organizations that are new to San Antonio.
The directory, which was last published in 2017, serves as a capabilities list of the aerospace industry, highlighting companies, organizations, and education providers who contribute to the industry at large in San Antonio. San Antonio has a compelling reputation for being a hub of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) companies, but is now starting to see accelerated growth in research, technology, engineering, machining, and manufacturing. Additionally, while historically known for being centered around traditional aviation, San Antonio is expanding its footprint into the commercial space sector, the drone, and unmanned aircraft sector, and is looking to establish itself as a leader in vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircrafts. With so much happening in the Aerospace industry in San Antonio, the Committee’s goal with the directory is to bring new business to the region, highlight numerous opportunities, and draw qualified workforce candidates.
If you would like to ensure your organization is in the directory and the information is up to date, please contact Nathan Ramon at nramon@sachamber.org.
