The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce are excited to announce the Co-Chairs of the 2024 Leadership San Antonio Program (LSA Class 48): Brandyn Rodriguez, CPS Energy’s Senior Manager of Corporate Responsibility and Edward Benavides, Vice President of Adult Behavioral Health at the Center for Health Care Services. Leadership San Antonio (LSA) Co-Chairs are appointed by the respective incoming Chairs of the Board of each chamber and provide invaluable leadership and guidance to the LSA Steering Committee, which consists of a small and focused team of LSA alumni who together provide guidance to the members of the incoming class. Collectively, they are responsible for recruiting the members of LSA Class 48 and will develop, plan, and execute a year of impactful experiences aimed at exposing class members to the inner workings of San Antonio and the surrounding region. Each year there is a special focus on the city’s growing industries while highlighting the important role both chambers play in the San Antonio business, political and civic communities. The overarching goal is that this exposure will reinforce the importance of getting involved in the chambers and community, staying connected and giving back. "Embarking on the Leadership San Antonio journey has been a transformative experience, empowering me to navigate challenges with a renewed perspective and foster meaningful connections,” says Rodriguez, graduate of LSA Class 36 and Steering Committee Mentor for LSA 45 (2020-2021). “As I look ahead to co-chairing the program with Edward in 2024, I am excited to inspire a new cohort of leaders, cultivate collaborative initiatives, build lasting relationships and drive positive change within our community." Benavides is a graduate of LSA Class 40 and Steering Committee Mentor for LSA 45 (2020-2021) and LSA 47(2023). “I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as Leadership San Antonio Co-Chair of Class 48! I look forward to working with both Chambers’ leadership, my esteemed colleague and Co-Chair Brandyn Rodriguez and contributing my enthusiasm and experience to LSA Class 48,” relates Benavides.” I’m committed to LSA’s mission of helping to mold sensitive, responsible, and committed leaders and ensuring a prosperous future for San Antonio. I’m confident that we will have a phenomenal year in 2024.” Since 1975, LSA has been recognized as the premier leadership development program in the Alamo Region, providing participants a unique experience to expand their service to San Antonio. The jointly sponsored program identifies individuals who have demonstrated leadership in their chosen profession and are active in community organizations that support San Antonio’s growth and development. Former LSA graduates who are members in-good-standing of either the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce or the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and are interested in applying to serve as Steering Committee mentors for LSA Class 48, please CLICK HERE.
