Following a successful kick-off event at the Centre Club in May, the reinvigorated and reenergized Woman to Woman, Leader to Leader (WWLL) Committee met last week at Texas Public Radio (TPR) Headquarters. The goal of the networking event was to highlight the important work of our partners, including TPR, the initiatives of Centro San Antonio’s Zona Cultural (La Zona), and the San Antonio River Authority’s San Pedro Culture Park with its beautiful waterfall, mural, and outdoor lounging space.

Laura Vaccaro, CEO of Kronkosky Charitable Foundation and 2024 Chair of the WWLL Committee, greeted guests and thanked them for attending. Rebecca Caven, interim president and CEO and vice president of development at TPR, welcomed the ladies and provided some background on their downtown office and studios and details on summer activities to engage with TPR and the downtown community. Trish DeBerry, CEO at Centro San Antonio, discussed the important and growing role that Centro San Antonio plays in downtown and highlighted future efforts and initiatives, followed by Andi Rodriguez, Vice President of Cultural Placemaking at Centro San Antonio, who showcased the creative arts and culture scene in the area. After remarks, guests were offered a behind-the-scenes tour of the TPR building and enjoyed continued networking amongst new and seasoned members. The delicious food was provided by Greater Chamber members and a woman-managed business, Signature Catering. https://signaturecateringinc.com/
