Greater Chamber CEO Jeff Webster was proud to be the only representative for the business community to speak to City Council on the proposed amendments to the Small Business Economic Advocacy (SBEDA) program supporting small business development. Webster recognized the city for everything this program has already accomplished in terms of growing local businesses, but the proposed changes do not address the remaining disparities. He asked the city to balance the needs of our current employers with helping to grow new businesses. We look forward to continuing to work with City Council and staff on this issue and finding more ways to effectively support our community’s small businesses.
