Williamson & Williamson Real Estate Development and Consulting LLC was founded by veteran couple Jennifer Williamson, current president and CEO, and Dr. Jermain C. Williamson Sr., current vice president. Their business was originally established in 2019 with the purpose of developing affordable housing. Over the past seven years, the company has grown into an international remote online and mobile notary signing service, completing more than 50,000 notarizations.
After meeting in the service and getting married, Jennifer and Jermain decided to start a business together with the long-term goal of expanding affordable housing initiatives, particularly for military veterans and women in children in need. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they adapted their business model to meet an immediate market need by providing notary services. A practical response to a national disruption evolved into a core service offering.
“Normally soldiers and people that live on post can go to the Judge Advocate General’s Office or the bank to have documents notarized, but because everything was closed during the pandemic, there was nowhere nearby,” Dr. Jermain C. Williamson said. “Jennifer had a great idea to become a notary to help people who live on post.”
The business grew quickly in the first two years after launching after 2019 through word-of-mouth recommendations. Williamson & Williamson now serves clients globally and will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its San Antonio office on April 3 at 613 NW Loop 410, Ste. 860. The couple chose San Antonio for their new office because of its military-friendly environment and their familiarity with the city from visiting friends and family while in the service.
The company will launch Williamson & Williamson Title and Escrow next quarter while also returning to its original focus on real estate development. Jennifer and Jermain have used chamber events to connect with business partners, including an attorney they met at the last mixer. The couple is currently looking for a new escrow officer ahead of launching their title services. Dr. Jermain C. Williamson said that being a part of the chamber has been a win for the company.
“Getting involved with the chamber is going to give us a great opportunity not only to give back to the community but help us as a company to provide jobs.”
