Greater San Antonio Chamber Proclaims June 5 “Spurs Gear Friday,” Rallying Regional Businesses Behind NBA Finals Run
 
Chamber encourages employers across San Antonio to let employees wear Spurs gear to work as the team competes for the NBA championship.
 
WHAT: The Greater San Antonio Chamber has officially proclaimed Friday, June 5, “Spurs Gear Friday,” a citywide call to action encouraging businesses across the region to show their Spurs pride. Employers are invited to let employees trade business attire for silver and black, turning offices, storefronts, job sites, and boardrooms into a unified show of support for the hometown team as the Spurs compete in the NBA Finals.
 
WHO: All San Antonio-area businesses, employees, and community members. The Greater San Antonio Chamber, the region’s leading business advocacy organization, is leading the charge and inviting the entire business community to participate.
 
WHEN: Friday, June 5, 2026 | All day
 
WHERE: Workplaces, storefronts, job sites, and offices across the Greater San Antonio region
 
WHY: San Antonio has long been home to some of the most passionate fans in professional sports. As the Spurs make their run at an NBA championship, the Greater San Antonio Chamber is rallying the business community to come together and demonstrate that pride and show the rest of the country why San Antonio has the best fans in the NBA.
 
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Businesses are encouraged to allow employees to wear their favorite Spurs gear to work on Friday, June 5. Participants should snap a photo and tag the
Greater San Antonio Chamber on social media. The Chamber will recognize standout Spurs fans and best-dressed workplaces across its channels.
