San Antonio to host NCAA Women's Volleyball Final Four in December

San Antonio will host the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Final Four and National Championship at the Alamodome on Dec. 17 and Dec. 20, 2026, bringing the nation's top collegiate volleyball programs and thousands of fans to the city for one of college sports' most anticipated championships.

The semifinal matches are set for Dec. 17, with the two advancing programs meeting in the national championship match three days later on Dec. 20. San Antonio Sports, which is organizing the local effort, said the city is aiming to set a new attendance record for the event.

Defending national champion Texas A&M will enter with a chance to win back-to-back titles, while the University of Texas will look to advance to the championship match. Both programs are among the most closely watched entering the 2026 season.

Beyond competition, the championship weekend will include community events, open team practices and fan activities connected to the Road to the Final Four experience. Organizers said the event is expected to draw volleyball players, coaches, families, alumni and corporate partners from across the country.

Limited VIP packages are available and include premium lower-level all-session seating, exclusive on-court experiences and championship mementos. Suite options are also available for businesses, volleyball clubs, schools and groups looking to host guests during the event.

Fans interested in VIP packages or suites can contact San Antonio Sports at 210-820-2104. Ticket pre-sale registration is open now at the NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship website ahead of the general on-sale date in July.

San Antonio last hosted the NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship in 2004. The Alamodome seats more than 20,000 for volleyball configurations, giving organizers a strong foundation to pursue a record attendance mark in December.
