The Greater San Antonio Chamber recently hosted a panel discussion on a wide range of topics for honors students participating in the Citymester Program, a student engagement initiative offered by the University of Texas at San Antonio.
District 9 City Councilwoman Misty Spears, Greater San Antonio Chamber President & CEO Jeff Webster, and Alera Group Senior Partner Kevin Wolff who previously served as a City Councilman and County Commissioner discussed everything from leadership development and career pathways to civic engagement and the future of San Antonio.
“It’s an honor to host these student leaders every year,” said Webster. “They are the next generation of leaders of our community, so it’s exciting to see their passion for our community and commitment to civic engagement.”
Through Citymester, the university and its community partners work together to educate these student leaders using internships, service-learning projects, and networking opportunities. The program provides selected students with a summer of engaged learning outside the classroom.
