After a postponement in 2025 necessitated by the extended U.S. Government shutdown, the Celebrate America’s Military (CAM) series returns in November for its 55th year.

Organized by the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, CAM is an annual series of events honoring the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces—Active, Guard, and Reserve—across all branches, their families, and veterans and their families. Held during the first few weeks of November each year, CAM is the nation’s largest and longest-running military appreciation celebration.

Returning once again as the 2026 CAM title sponsors are USAA, Cavender Auto Group, and SeaWorld San Antonio.

San Antonio, known as “Military City USA®,” has a rich military history and hosts Joint Base San Antonio, the largest joint military installations in the country. Greater San Antonio is home to over 500,000 military members, veterans and their families, spanning four counties and four congressional districts, making CAM a significant event in the region.

CAM features a variety of events bringing together service members, veterans, and the local community, including:

  •       Spirit of America Dinner, Friday Nov. 6, at The Witte Museum
  •       Veterans Legacy Luncheon, Tuesday, Nov. 10, at The Ralston
  •       Enlisted Appreciation Reception, Thursday, Nov. 12, at SeaWorld

And CAM also includes community events hosted throughout November by JBSA organizations, nonprofits, local businesses and civic groups. The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce invites community members, businesses, and organizations to participate in and support CAM. Opportunities include event sponsorships, hosting events, and volunteering.
